Laptops for Our Lady of
Our
Lady of Lourdes will soon welcome 18 new laptop computers into the school curriculum. The units, from Gateway, will help enhance
our curriculum offerings and these machines
will be utilized by teachers and students in the classroom. It will complement
our existing computer lab. Thanks to the hard work of Glenn Florczak the laptops are setup and nearly ready to be deployed into the classrooms. Grades 6, 7 and 8 will get primary use of the technology, but the resources will be available to the entire school.
Along
with the laptops we have a rolling cart to store, transport and
charge the machines. We are looking
into purchasing an LCD projectors and will soon add wireless networking
to the school. The laptops should be in use by November 1st. The is a list of technology integration resources online for teachers and training will be provided as well.
